When I Dive into the Realm of Your Endlessness’ a visual research project that examines the philosophy, contemplation, spiritualism, and artistic expression of Baul-Fakir (the mystic folk tradition) women in Bengal (India). Mystics from Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim backgrounds founded a significant group in Bengal called Baulism in the early 9th century. This project seeks to document the lives, roles, practices, and narratives of women seeking their own identities within this patriarchal system. In the post-neoliberal era, Baul’s core practice has undergone a complete transformation, and this project documents women’s spiritual, psychological, and cultural transformations.
